Yakima Union Gospel Mission (YUGM) is excited to announce the grand opening of its fourth physical thrift store location on Thursday, March 6, in Selah. Located at 111 Pleasant Ave, Selah, WA 98942, the new store represents a significant investment in the Selah community by creating local jobs, providing affordable shopping options, and generating critical funding for services that help people in need take their next step toward stability and wholeness.
The Selah thrift store builds on the success of YUGM’s Summit Thrift, Mission Thrift, and
Lighthouse Thrift locations, all of which exist to turn generosity into impact. Every donation received and every purchase made directly supports Yakima Union Gospel Mission’s programs serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness, poverty, and crisis across Central Washington.
“We’re grateful to be welcomed into Selah in this way,” said Scott Thielen, CEO of Yakima Union Gospel Mission. “This store allows the community to participate directly in helping people locally by donating, shopping, and supporting services that truly change lives.”
Beginning February 13th, the Selah location will have a truck parked outside to start receiving donations on-site,making it easy for residents to give back locally. Donation hours are Monday through Saturday, 9am – 5:30pm.
Store & Donation Hours Beginning March 6:
- Monday – Saturday: 9:00am – 8:00pm
- Donation hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm
