Dental care is a key piece to overall health and restoration, yet many individuals are without insurance or finances to afford vital services. Our Dental Care Center steps in to fill this void. With the help of a faithful group of local dentists and volunteer professionals, we provide full dental services to low-income individuals in our community.
Assistance is provided on a sliding fee scale with those in greatest need taking ownership of their care through volunteer service.
Established in 1995, the YUGM Medical Care Center is one of only a few clinics in the Yakima Valley devoted to caring for the primary medical needs of people experiencing financial restraints and homelessness.
Most of our patients have no health insurance or the ability to pay for health care services – that’s why the YUGM Medical Care Center services are provided completely free of charge. The clinic averages more than 9,000 patient visits each year made possible by over 200 volunteer medical professionals.
Pacific Northwest University of Health and Sciences runs a free direct access Pro Bono Physical Therapy clinic within Yakima Union Gospel Mission. We are committed to seeing uninsured and underinsured patients that have exhausted their physical therapy benefits. The School of Physical Therapy strives to serve Yakima’s underserved community. Doctoral physical therapy students provide all care under the supervision of licensed physical therapists
