When we bring folks into our Adult Shelter, our goal is for them to feel safe. But for many people we serve, coming from abusive backgrounds, the loss of control can feel scary enough to keep them sleeping outside.
The Good News Café (our Day Center) creates another way to build relationship and trust. We’ve found that hope often begins with a meal.
In the Good News Café, people can get mail, showers, meals… and a bed. Staff and volunteers bring love and hospitality. And it all pays off. Not including our Family Shelter, over 100 people from our Adult Shelter and Day Center moved upward and out this year to treatment or housing.
