From Homelessness to Wholeness
In her mid-thirties, Lynn* found herself faced with an impossible choice: remain in an abusive relationship or escape to the streets. She chose a life on the streets, and quickly fell into a dangerous pattern of addiction and prostitution.
“I was living a really, really, really hard life,” she recalls.
Lynn heard about the Mission in jail, and she knew in her heart that she needed to be here. She wrote letter after letter, begging the Mission to take her in.
Upon her release, Lynn arrived here and found a safe place to stay and a community waiting to receive her with open arms.

“On holidays, we make a meal. We have a meal with everybody in the program, like you would have at your family's house. Because we are all family.”-Lynn
Today, Lynn is clean and sober. She has full custody of her children, and she is deeply involved with the Mission’s work. She is so grateful for God’s movement in her life and shares her story with anyone who will listen.
“I would recommend the Mission to anyone,” she says. “’You look so good,’ they say, and I tell them: it’s the program. You should come. It’s hard out there, but I’m just so thankful to God.”
